Position Summary:
The Production Manager maintains delegated approval from the Chief of Operations for the day-to-day oversight and management of personnel, equipment, tooling, and infrastructure related to the planned operations and activity. The role involves ensuring compliance with Quality and Health and Safety Policy by the undertaking of Risk Assessments and method statements. The role will require you to liaise with other departments to meet the Production plan in accordance with the LCI RSM, QCM, and policies and procedures.
This position requires a process-driven and forward-thinking individual who can review current process to identify and implement improvements, training requirements and resources to achieve customer satisfaction and corporate goals. This individual must have experience in managing a commercial aviation MRO or repair shop.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ensuring facilities appropriate to complete the planned work, including workshop and storage.
· Ensuring sufficient competent personnel to plan, perform, supervise, and certify the work being performed in accordance with RSM and QCM.
· Ensuring tools, equipment and materials are available and serviceable to perform the planned tasks.
· Providing necessary support to ensure engine shop operates in line with the FAA145/ EASA standards.
· Ensuring that maintenance procedures are established and adhered to within the organization.
· Providing day to day management support associated with the maintenance activities.
· Ensuring compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements, plus customer and supplier contracts.
· Continued assessment, development and training of personnel.
· Ensuring the proper production and accuracy of maintenance records.
· Ensure that the operations are following company procedures and federal, state, and local laws with regards to facilities, environment and personnel.
· Displays a positive attitude to change and encourage this attitude within the team.
· Full engagement in the Production System actively engaging the workshop team for participation and engagement in a positive and supportive work environment.
· Conduct all team members Performance Reviews.
· Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline all his/her department personnel according to LCI policy.
